FLOOD
UPDATE
On June 7th,
Columbus Indiana was
in a middle of a massive
flash flood. Many families
have been displaced and
many homes have been damaged or destroyed.
Unfortunately, the Kocur's had major damage
due to the flood. Included in the damage was the
recording studio and portions of our PA that the
Banister's use for shows. One of our greatest losses was our entire inventory of Hot Baba CD's. Recently, we did
recover from the flood some of the digital files used to
produce these CD's. It is our hope that we will be able to
bring those back in the near future.
The Kocur's would like to thank everyone
that has
responded with help with a simple & humble thank-you.
Right now we are trying to get our house back
into a home and then we will concentrate on the Banister
Family PA and Hot Baba Records studio. Until then we
will still be performing so come out and enjoy
a fun evening of music.
Update as of
6/28/2008
We have found a few good copies of Requests
and Renditions and Always Shining.
We will continue to add to our inventory as fast as we can. Thanks for your patience.
Update as of 7/04/2008
As of today we were able to recover all of the Hot Baba studio recordings.
Thanks to Josh Long for his dedicated effort to retrieve these files. We
still need to acquire a few critical pieces of equipment and we will be able to
start the duplication process and get our CD's back on shelf in our CD store. As
far as the studio goes....... well, we still have a long way to go. All of the
equipment that was submerged under water has dried and now we have begun the
tedious task of cleaning and repairing. Thanks to everyone for their support.
Update as of
7/09/2008
As of today we to have the Banister Family PA up and running. Also, we have
made great progress with our main recorder for Hot Baba Records. It appears to
be working, however need to wait for a few parts to arrive before we can test
the recorder. Thanks for asking and we appreciate your support.
Update as of
7/20/2008
We are in the process of applying for building permits and getting our
basement rebuilt. It is a slow process and we are still finding items that are
still wet (yuck). The repairs to the studio electronics is moving along slowly
and we are hopeful that we will be recording again by June 2009. Again, thanks
for everyone's support.
Update as of
8/10/2008
We now have in stock a few more CD Titles. Banister
Family CD, Buck's Stove
& Range Co ~ Fired Up and Bill
Banister & Friends ~ Drivin' Grass. We will continue to add to our inventory as fast as we can.
We hope to have a full inventory of CD's very Shortly. Thanks for your
